1928 Plymouth 1937 Plymouth Plymouth: The First Decade

SCVMTFC Low Land Tour, June 11, 2006

The Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club’s “Low Land Tour” started with the send off of the speedsters from downtown San Jose. The tour then took an interesting route out of San Jose to the fringes of the valley and worked its way north to Niles for a rest stop. After the rest stop the tour proceeded up Niles Canyon then north to Dublin for lunch. The speedsters, having crossed over the top of Mt. Hamilton, rolled into the same lunch break area at Ford of Dublin.

There were 55 tour cars registered including 12 Model T Fords and 24 Model A Fords. I saw one 1920s Chevrolet, a nice 1930 Oldsmobile, a very nice 1930 LaSalle, and then some of the usual cars that are on the tours I attend. There were 44 speedsters registered for the endurance run including a real (not reproduction) Bugatti
