1928 Plymouth 1937 Plymouth Plymouth: The First Decade

Golden State Region, Plymouth Owners Club tour to Pacific Coast Dream Machines

We gathered at the unreasonably early hour of 7 AM on Sunday, April 27th at a small park in Saratoga. Fresh coffee and bagels were provided by provided by the tour organizers. April had been a soggy month and the forecast of a couple days prior indicated the same for the tour day. But the day dawned bright, clear and cool. Perfect for a Golden State Region, Plymouth Owners Club back roads tour over the Santa Cruz mountains to the Pacific Coast Dream Machines show at Half Moon Bay.

We left Saratoga with five Plymouths ranging in age from 1933 to 1947. And the cutest little car, a 1962 Peel, in the back of a modern pickup truck. We met with members of the Slant 6 Club in Half Moon Bay (picking up another pre-war Plymouth, a 1964 Valiant Signet and a 1928 Model A Ford pickup) for our final few miles to the Half Moon Bay Airport and the Pacific Coast Dream Machines show.
