Plymouth: The First Decade

Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club's Lowland Tour

This is a yearly event that is quite popular in the area. Actually it is two events: The "Lowland Tour" and the "Endurance Run". The Endurance Run is jointly sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club and the Vintage Rally Group. The Lowland Tour is a SCVMTFC only event, but they open it up to pretty much any pre-WW2 car.

The tour was just under 84 miles. I believe that the endurance run was about 200 miles. The tour and the endurance run meet up for a morning coffee break, again for lunch and at the end of the day for the awards ceremony.

Typical early June weather greeted us: Low clouds with fog in the hills. There were places in the Santa Cruz Mountains where the fog was so thick that I needed to run the windshield wiper.
